My Mission
Its time for change
My mission is to change how governments approach dyslexia, to get them to offer up free and early diagnosis and to flip the schooling system on its head. Teaching the content in a way that neuro diverse kids can learn it, but also that neuro typical kids still learn it just the same. This is already entirely possible, it just needs someone brave enough in government to press the go button!
The schooling system as it is, breaks the kids that don’t fit in the round hole. Over 50% of our prison population worldwide cant read, these are the kids that got left behind, the ones that got bored because they couldn’t read, the ones that then acted up because they were bored, the ones that got labelled as the naughty kids and the ones that then lived up to exactly that!
On a personal level I am very aware of how slow the pace of change has been and I don't want to be dealing with this with my grandchildren in 20 years time, so I'm using my voice and story to influence change.
I want to make sure that no one gets left behind anymore!
